John‘s first successes were 1985 as percussionist of the Pop band Peter Pan, with it‘s single "A Night at the Hippodrome" (place 25 in the Austrian Top 40). In 1990 his single "Nur vom Frieden zu reden“ (in cooperation with Erwin Bros) was nominated for the Eurivsion song contest.
